Florida Beaches For Families

For your next family fun vacation come and visit a Florida beach for a wonderful time in the sand and the sun! There are many family type beaches in Florida that everyone can enjoy. Florida beaches are a hot spot for the entire family from the parents to the teens and right down to the younger set. Florida beaches have miles and miles of white sand, crystal clear water, lots of waves, shells, and sun, sun, sun! Here are just some of the more popular family beaches in Florida:

Cocoa Beach: This is the closet Florida beach to Walt Disney World in Orlando. This beach is a family fun beach with miles of sand to build great sand castles on. You can swim, picnic, enjoy shelling here. Not too far from here is the NASA Kennedy Space Center, which would make for a wonderful family fun tour. For the teenager there is a Teen Fest in the month of August that is just the right kind of fun for the 13 and older crowd.

Fernandina Beach: Also known as the Isle of Eight Flags, the Fernandina has not suffered from any type of interference. Completely in its natural state thus far, this beach is a great Florida beach to enjoy. Explore the sand dunes, which are known for their 40-foot size, and nature in all its glory. Swimming, shelling, and sunrises make this a perfect getaway. Why not take some sailing lessons at the Windward Sailing School? They specialize in teaching families the ropes on sailing. You can also visit The Voyager, which is a 1840s schooner replica that spans 100-feet.

Siesta Key Beach: This beach is a generous eight miles in length, a barrier island. It connects to Sarasota by bridge. This is a highly popular beach with its silky sand and dolphins in full view. Shelling, swimming, surfing, sailing, are the common interests on this Florida beach. Things to do in the area include the G.Wiz Gulfcoast Wonder and Imagine Zone, a you-can-touch museum for the little ones. They boast 85 exhibits that the kids will love. There is also the Sarasota Jungle Gardens. This ex swamp land, now jungle will offer you the privilege of viewing the pink flamingos and birds from all over. Come and visit in May and you can be part of the Annual Sand Sculpting Contest. You will see sand art at its best by some of the most creative!

Hutchinson Island: An island, how perfect! Horseback riding, wading in Bathtub Beach, which is a lagoon to splash around in. You can interact with the stingrays at the Florida Oceanographic Society that is only minutes away if you get tired of having fun at this super family Florida beach!

Nearby any of these beaches are plenty of restaurants to eat in and hotels to lounge and rest your head for the night. A family Florida beach vacation is the perfect way to get away and have some rest and fun!
